Weathered wooden buildings stand on stilts by the water, their reflections mirrored in the calm surface. The structures are surrounded by lush green trees, giving a rustic and serene atmosphere to the scene.
I took the picture on Grand Manan Island a few years ago but these smoked herrings barns are now gone
About Dominique Lecomte
Here are some of my works made since 1984, inspired by the little things of life, the spectacle of nature, the lines and forms of the world, the mystery of cities. I always wanted them to be simple, colorful, warm; to make you smile, to tell you stories that would appeal to your inner child and make you want to explore the world on and off the beaten path.
