A coastal landscape features a dramatic sky with a lighthouse perched atop a hill. The scene is rendered in bold, contrasting colors with a focus on the interaction between land and sea.
It's the image of a woodcut of Swallowtail lighthouse on Grand Manan Island, hand colored with pencils.
About Dominique Lecomte
Here are some of my works made since 1984, inspired by the little things of life, the spectacle of nature, the lines and forms of the world, the mystery of cities. I always wanted them to be simple, colorful, warm; to make you smile, to tell you stories that would appeal to your inner child and make you want to explore the world on and off the beaten path.
